A Brilliant Day at Oswestry Cricket Club Sponsors’ Day

A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of spending the day at Oswestry Cricket Club for their annual Sponsors’ Day and what a fantastic day it turned out to be.
From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was relaxed, welcoming and full of that unmistakable Oswestry community spirit. We were treated to an absolutely delicious lunch: fresh prawns, quiche and salad plus a seriously tasty cheesecake that disappeared far too quickly. With the sun out and the pitch looking beautifully green, it was the perfect setting to watch the cricket in action.
Connecting With Local Businesses
One of the highlights of the day was meeting so many brilliant local business owners. Oswestry has such a vibrant, supportive business community and it was great to spend time chatting with people who are passionate about what they do.
We caught up with Marv and Sil from MBO Safety Services, who told us more about the courses they run and the important work they do in workplace safety.
We also had a great conversation with Rad and Jessica from Coach House Gym, who shared updates about their impressive new facilities, including a sauna and a red‑light therapy room that had everyone intrigued.
Then there was Una Vita, who talked us through their financial mapping services and how they help people plan with clarity and confidence.
That was just the start we met so many fascinating people throughout the day. We love meeting others, hearing their stories and having a good chat, so it really was our ideal kind of event.
A Lovely Surprise
We even got to see our Woods Orthotics advertising board up close by the pitch and we’re pleased to report it looks great.
A Perfect Community Day
Sponsors’ Day was everything we enjoy: good food, good company and a chance to celebrate the brilliant businesses and people that make Oswestry such a special place. Everyone was so friendly and we left feeling energised, grateful and proud to be part of this community.
We’re already looking forward to the next one.
